Our Story

From Horses to Hounds

Katherine Wheeler built Dapple Up from the back of a truck at Keeneland. What started as a passion project became the go-to plant-based shampoo for trainers, riders, and barns across Kentucky and beyond.

Horse people aren't just horse people — they're dog people too. Once they saw what our formula could do for a horse's coat, they started asking: "Can I use this on my dog?"

Dapple Up Dog was born from community demand — not a corporate boardroom. Originally developed for horses bathed regularly, every bottle carries the same care and Kentucky-rooted authenticity.

Gentle Care for Dogs, Too

Originally trusted in barns, now trusted at home — plant-powered care from a small, woman-owned Kentucky business.
