Dapple Up at the RRP's Thoroughbred Makeover

Each October, hundreds of talented Thoroughbreds and their dedicated riders gather at the Kentucky Horse Park for the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) Thoroughbred Makeover, one of the most inspiring events in the equine industry. It's a week where hard work, second chances, and pure heart take center stage — and this year, Dapple Up Healthy Equine Shampoo was proud to be a part of it once again. 💜🐎

Every single competitor at this year's Makeover received a Dapple Up sample in their competitor bag! We were thrilled to help these incredible horses look and feel their best — whether they were shining in the show ring, hitting the cross-country course, or simply enjoying a well-deserved spa day in the wash rack.

Healthy Coats, Happy Horses

Dapple Up was created for horses who deserve the very best — gentle, plant-based care that's as healthy as it is effective. Infused with natural ingredients like lemongrass, peppermint, and aloe, Dapple Up helps soothe sensitive skin, enhance shine, and promote strong, healthy coats. After all, these athletes have earned a little extra pampering!

Proudly Kentucky Made

As a Kentucky Proud brand, we love supporting events that celebrate the Thoroughbred industry and the people behind it. The Makeover is more than just a competition — it's a celebration of transformation, teamwork, and the incredible versatility of off-track Thoroughbreds.

Spotlight on Sponsored Rider: Jessica Frederick & Wicked Again

We're thrilled to congratulate our own sponsored rider Jessica Frederick and her incredible partner Wicked Again on their outstanding success at the 2025 Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover in Lexington, Kentucky! 🏆

Jessica and "Wicked" placed third overall in Barrel Racing — and Wicked also earned top honors as both the Highest-Placed Kentucky-Bred and the Thoroughbred Charities of America Award Winner for Barrel Racing!

Wicked is a five-year-old Kentucky-bred gelding by 2017 Horse of the Year Gun Runner, out of Just Wicked (by Tapit). Bred by Winchell Thoroughbreds, he's a full sibling to multiple graded stakes winner Wicked Halo.

Here's to Every Competitor

To every Makeover participant — we hope you enjoyed your Dapple Up samples and that they brought out that signature Dapple Up glow!

💜 Healthy Coats. Happy Horses. Dapple Up.
